Homebound troops: Are you — or is someone you know — coming home?

More than half of the 14,000 active service members from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut have been deployed to Iraq in the last ten years.

Due to President Obama declaring the end of the Iraq war, some of those servicemen and -women will return home around the new year.

WNYC is collecting stories about their experiences during the war and expectations for the months ahead, as well as from their loved ones.
