Beth Jones and her daughter Addison traveled from their home in Lakeville, Minn., to join us at Public Insight Network headquarters to talk to us about bullying.

In Addison’s middle school, bullying has become a constant backdrop to the school day — and it’s now become a divisive issue at home, forcing the family to decide whether Addison and her younger brother should leave their school and enroll in a new one in the fall.

Have you ever been a bully, or been bullied? Have you witnessed bullying in your school, your workplace, your family or elsewhere in your life? Share your story here, or by clicking the button below.

This story is one of a three-part series from the Public Insight Network’s exploration of bullying. It’s all over the news. States are legislating around it, school districts are implementing programs to prevent it, and in the midst of it all, parents are struggling to protect their kids.

FIRST: Listen as Bart Jones talks about the one time back in junior high he decided to be a bully — and how it’s stuck with him, three decades later (AUDIO).

NEXT: Read more stories of bullying, from across the decades and across the world.
