What's the closest you've gotten to your food?

Cheryl and Majora in Cheryl's greenhouse For most of us, when we need food, we go to a store. The Public Insight Network is collaborating with The Promised Land on their upcoming fall season, Food for Thought, to see what people think about food and how it gets to their table.

Host Majora Carter talks with innovative farmer and MacArthur "Genius" Cheryl Rogowski (that's the two of them in Cheryl's greenhouse) about what she's learned from generations of farming and how it impacts all of us.

We want to know from you, what's the closest you've gotten to the food on your table? Are you an urban gardener, a fast-food junkie, or a mix of both? Do you live in a food desert with little access to fresh food or a place with so many options you feel overwhelmed? We want to hear about your experience with your food.

As we gather stories and photos, we plan to create an online gallery at The Promised Land (only with your permission of course) showcasing just how close, or not-so-close, we get to our food.
