Perhaps no other neighborhood in the city has been more discussed, dissected, and slated for development than Downtown Phoenix. Some of the development, like CityScape, has come from the business community. Some development has come from the expansion of ASU's downtown campus. There's also been more community-driven development, like the Roosevelt Row arts district, which has flourished in the space of a few short years. How do the community leaders of Roosevelt Row try to grow their neighborhood in an organic way? How do they plan to create a thriving arts district in a place that has traditionally been less interested in non-traditional arts and culture?
