Banning texting while driving will be up again for debate this legislative session. The current bill, according to this Houston Chronicle article doesn't apply to dialing numbers, using GPS on a mobile device, or using a hands-free device. But it does ban using a device to read, write or send texts or e-mails on mobiles.

We're wondering here at KUHF News if you text while you drive, and in what instances you do. And even though there's no state-wide law banning texting, we're wondering if you have your own personal 'laws' or rules when you're out on the road? We're working on a story about this, and a reporter may follow-up with you to learn more.
