Does class size matter?

Many teachers and parents tell us they are concerned because Colorado schools are putting more students in classrooms to get by with fewer teachers. They say that will inevitably make it harder for many kids to learn.

On the other hand, there is research showing that schools in this country and elsewhere can produce top students even with a higher student-teacher ratio.

Advocates of this approach say it can save school districts millions of dollars just to expand class sizes by a few students. What do you think?
