The Contra Costa Board of Supervisors hears public comments today regarding the building of a 66,000 sq. ft. religious center by a Sufi organization. Opponents of the center say that its size poses traffic and parking problems and that the design does not fit in with that of the surrounding area. Supporters say that the design is spiritually significant and that the size is crucial for complete spiritual practice. What do you think of the proposed center?
