Last Friday, Standard & Poor's downgraded the United States' credit rating, an unprecedented move. The rating agency said the deal to raise the U.S. debt ceiling last week was insufficient. Meanwhile, China -- the biggest foreign holder of U.S. debt -- has warned the U.S. to live within its means.
