Do you remember the Columbus Day Storm of 1962?

If you were in Western Oregon on October 12th, 1962, you probably remember a day with high winds, power outages, and some of the worst weather devastation this state has ever seen. The storm was responsible for 50 deaths, more than any other weather event in Oregon's history.

2012 marks the 50th anniversary of the Columbus Day storm, and we'd like to revisit the historic event through the lens of people who experienced the storm. Were you in Oregon on that day? What do you remember about the storm? Was your home or property damaged? How did you or your family deal with the aftermath?
