Have you lived in a rental with a shady past?

When we live in rented apartments or houses, we don't always know who came before us, or what may have happened before we moved in. Have you moved into a place that you felt had a questionable history? Did you experience health problems that you suspect came from your home?

In Oregon, homeowners are required to disclose to the state if their homes are contaminated by hazardous substances. But they're not required to pass on that disclosure to tenants. That means that, if renters live in a former meth lab, for example, they may never know.
