What social dilemmas do young adults with autism confront?

Much attention has been focused on education and treatment for children with autism. Little attention has been paid to what happens as they transition into adulthood.

American Public Media is collaborating with the The New York Times on a series called "Growing up with Autism.'' We ask the question: As these children age, what challenges and rewards are in store for both them and their communities? You can find the first of our articles here.

As part of our series, we'll focus on the social dilemmas faced by these young adults, as well as those who interact with them.

If you have an autism spectrum disorder, or if you're a neighbor, romantic interest, co-worker, fellow student, or family member of someone who does, what social dilemmas do you face in your interactions?
