What do you do to give back?

A study recently ranked Pennsylvania as 39th in the country for charitable giving. It found that typical households in the Keystone State claimed charitable contributions totaling 3.9 percent of their income. At witf, we see volunteerism and giving all around us, so we're not sure that 39th ranking is deserved.

There's an unending list of needs in our state and country. During the holiday season, it's hard not to take notice of those who go with less. The Salvation Army bells ring out at malls and grocery stores, coat drives are put together, and gift programs try to bring some holiday joy to them. That's where we all come in. You may give money to help out organizations, or may all get together as a family to help out for a day.

Help us show that Pennsylvanians give back by telling us what you do.
