Have you witnessed a stop and frisk?

The violent crime rate in New York has been steadily decreasing over the past 15 years. While the number of arrests has increased, so have the number of "stop and frisks" by the NYPD.

New York Public Radio strives to cover real stories in a sensitive way while at the same time provide interesting and helpful insights, both on the air and in The Greene Space, our event plattform. On May 2nd, 2011 at 7 pm, the Green Space is holding a panel discussion on Stop and Frisk, with members of the police force, civic activist groups and criminal law scholars, as well as members of the community. The event is free of charge and open to the public.

We would like to know how this practice has affected you and the area of New York you live in - for the better, for the worse or with no observable effect at all. With your permission (as you indicate below), we may contact you or use your comments as part of the event.
