What is the real cost of unemployment?

High unemployment rates are a reality in the U.S. that doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon. Millions of Americans are either out of a job or feeling the effects of layoffs occurring all around.

On Wednesday, October 19 at 7pm, Farai Chideya will host a free event - The Next New York Conversation: The Real Cost of Unemployment in The Greene Space. Chideya and guest panelists will be exploring what the consequences have been on the lives and health of individuals, families and communities.
