PIN Bureau staffers planning outreach

PIN Bureau students engage with the Bureau Chief as they plan outreach activities.

In September 2014, Arizona State University’s Cronkite School of Journalism, in partnership with American Public Media, opened the first Public Insight Network Bureau to make PIN more affordable and accessible and to teach the next generation of journalists how to make listening to and engaging with diverse audiences a core component of newsgathering.

Bureau staff (10-15 students working under the guidance of a journalism professor bureau chief) are trained to perform a range of on-demand sourcing and engagement services, helping media organizations and individual journalists identify new stories, voices and insights for news coverage. Bureau staff can assist clients with an individual story or project, or clients can opt for a monthly subscription.

For a list of services and pricing plans, visit the PIN Bureau website, or contact Bureau Chief Theresa Poulson at theresa.poulson@asu.org or 602-496-0297.
