Election Night

Join The Charlotte Observer on election night, Tuesday, November 2.

The Charlotte Observer is celebrating democracy on Election Night and we invite you to join us.

Drop by the Observer in uptown Charlotte for refreshments and meet the journalists who are covering the election. Editor Rick Thames will be on hand to talk about how we conduct election coverage. There will be plenty of free parking. If you can't make that event, we'll hold an online chat later in the evening as results roll in. Either way, it's a chance to let your voice be heard.
