Do you remember the 82nd Street Drive-In?
Around the country, bowling alleys, skating rinks and drive-in movie theaters have been closing as real estate prices have made the land under them more valuable for modern retail and housing projects.
OPB is producing a web series on these "Lost Oregon Hangouts." One of the destinations we're focusing on is an old drive in theater in Portland—the 82nd Street Drive-In that ran from 1948 until 1985.
Did you used to hang out there? What movie do you remember seeing? Do you have a memory about the movie or experience of going there?
