Accounted for: How can we help all kids get to school?
There are many reasons why children are absent from school. Maybe they're sick. Maybe their parent needs an older child to stay home to care for a younger one. Maybe they are afraid to go to school because they are being bullied.
In Missouri, the standard set by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is to get at least 90 percent of students in school 90 percent of the time. If you know of good ways to reach that goal, or if you are looking for solutions, we want to hear from you. Please respond to the questions below to help us better understand the problem and help us find ways to address it.
