How should colleges consider race, if at all?
By the end of June 2013, the U.S. Supreme Court is expected to issue a decision in the case Fisher vs. University of Texas.
The case involves a student who was denied admission to the University of Texas at Austin. The student, Abigail Fisher, alleges that the flagship public university rejected her in the admissions process because it gives priority to students who are from racial minority groups.
The case asks the court to rule on the issue of race-conscious admissions at UT and could have implications for other universities and colleges across the country.
Here at KUHF News, our education reporter is watching what happens and we’d like to talk with Texans about their thoughts on race and college admissions.
