How are recent snowstorms affecting people with disabilities?
Recent snowstorms hit some people harder than others. Unshoveled and poorly shoveled sidewalks and ramps, for example, have forced those in wheelchairs to take their chances on treacherous roads, which, at least, are plowed.
We're sure there are myriad ways that we haven't thought of in which big snowstorms make life particularly frustrating, challenging, or downright dangerous for people with disabilities.
