Should the USDA advocate for local food production?
The USDA is touting its "Know Your Farmer, Know Your Food" initiative as a way to help farmers who market their produce locally and to help educate consumers on where their food comes from. But some Republican leaders and others say its a waste of taxpayer money to help farmers who only produce about 2 percent of what Americans consume. What do you think?
