Come to a forum in White Bear Lake
Please attend a Minnesota Public Radio News forum on the state budget in your backyard
Recently, MPR News explored how the state budget affects one community in Minnesota in our series, "The State Budget in Your Backyard." Since then, Gov. Pawlenty has released his budget proposal and has recommended a 2.2 percent spending cut. Some of the areas hardest hit by this cut will be aid to cities and counties and higher education.
As a follow-up to this series, we are inviting people who live and work in White Bear Lake to participate in a moderated discussion on the state budget that will be broadcast on MPR News. We will discuss how the community will be affected by budget cuts and what other ideas you have for addressing the budget crisis.
