Are you moving to North Dakota?
As people across the country relocate to oil-rich North Dakota for employment opportunities, boomtowns are already experiencing population growing pains -- especially when it comes to education. In Williston, for example, the school district is trying to come up with $26 million to build additional classrooms to accommodate 1,200 new students.
We at the NewsHour are trying to find folks who have recently moved or plan to move to North Dakota for a job in the oil industry. What preparations have you made? Is your whole family moving with you? Are you worried about the future of your children's education?
We're also looking for educators in North Dakota. Does this population increase affect your school? What problems, if any, do you anticipate for your classroom?
