Veterans: How does your service affect your reaction to events in Boston?
Explosions in the streets. House-to-house searches. Snipers placed on rooftops. For those who've seen combat overseas, these things may be familiar, but seeing them out their own window is not.
The bombings at the Boston Marathon and the extensive manhunt that followed temporarily transformed the city of Boston into what some in the media called "a war zone."
Today we're reaching out to those who've actually served in a war zone to hear your reaction. How have the events of this April in Boston affected you? Were you called on to participate in any way? How did your past experiences affect the way you reacted to what your saw on the news?
Your insight will help inform our upcoming stories and we may contact you to find out more. But your information will remain completely confidential unless you explicitly give us permission below to share your story. If you'd prefer to communicate with one of our reporters directly, please email Jeff Severns Guntzel at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks for your time.
