What is your experience applying for college in Minnesota?
Many colleges have been reporting a skyrocketing number of applications over the past number of years. American students apply to a far greater number of colleges than they did in years past – partly because of the ease of internet applications and the Common Application, but also out of nervousness that they may not get into the schools of their choice.
With more students applying, acceptance rates are going down – and some colleges have also raised their academic admissions standards. All this had led some to believe it’s simply harder for students to get into a Minnesota college of their choice now than it was for their parents 30 years ago.
