St. Louis Public Radio
Have you ever been touched by homicide?
The We Live Here team at St. Louis Public Radio is exploring unsolved homicides. In many cases, one of the biggest challenges for police and prosecutors is finding witnesses who are willing to testify about what they know. Whether it's because of a distrust of police or a fear of retaliation, the result is that many homicide cases go unsolved, and killers continue to walk free.
Recently, St. Louis Public Radio presented "Homicide's Wake," a series of reports that explored just what all this means to the people who are directly affected, with a special focus on the Wells Goodfellow neighborhood of St. Louis. Now we're looking beyond just one neighborhood, and even beyond the city of St. Louis.
